About Pedro Mego M.D.
Dr. Pedro Mego is a board certificated Interventional Cardiologist with special interest in Peripheral Artery Disease and Chronic Venous Diseases. Dr. Mego specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease, peripheral vascular disease, and provides advanced heart care for all conditions. He is an Endovascular Diplomate by the American Board of Vascular Medicine. Dr. Mego is an expert in the Rio Grande Valley, and has been practicing in the region since 2005. ​

Dr. Mego received his medical degree from

Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos School of Medicine in Peru. He completed residency training in internal medicine at New York Medical College at Metropolitan Hospital Center. Dr. Mego continued his education with a cardiology fellowship at Montreal Heart Institute and University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, followed by an interventional cardiology fellowship at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.​

This facility has been uniquely designed by Dr. Mego himself with the goal of treating patients with Peripheral Artery Disease, various venous diseases, and preventing the need for limb amputations. He has extensive experience treating PAD and other similar diseases and has brought his vast expertise
learned across the world to the Rio Grande Valley. Dr. Mego's primary objective is to reduce the growing number of unnecessary limb amputations in the region, preventing reoccurrence of symptoms of PAD, and offering patients and intimate, clean, and quick alternative to a hospital visit with both invasive and non-invasive procedures.
